Delete Your Account
You have the right to delete your BrevityU account and associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what data is removed, what is retained (anonymized), and how to contact us if you need assistance.
📱 How to Delete Your Account In-App

Open the BrevityU appMake sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.

Go to SettingsTap your profile icon (bottom navigation bar), then tap the cog icon in the upper-right corner of your profile page to open Settings.

Open “Manage My Account”Scroll down to the Manage My Account section and tap Account Actions to expand it.

Tap “Delete Account”Tap the red Delete Account button. You will be asked to confirm twice before the deletion begins.

Confirm deletionRead the confirmation dialogs carefully, then tap "Yes, Delete My Account" to proceed. Your 30-day recovery window begins immediately.
📋 What Data Is Deleted vs. Retained
BrevityU complies with GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure) and CCPA §1798.105. All personally identifiable information (PII) is permanently deleted. User-generated content that has been shared publicly is anonymized and may be retained for platform integrity under GDPR Art. 17(3)(a).

✉️ Cannot Access the App? Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot sign in to the app to use the in-app deletion flow, you can submit a deletion request by email. We will verify your identity and process the request within 30 days in accordance with GDPR and CCPA requirements.

Include: your registered email address and username so we can locate your account.
✅ What Happens After You Request Deletion

Immediate: Account lockedYou are signed out of all devices. Your account cannot be accessed and no new sessions can be created.

30-day grace period beginsYou can cancel the deletion by signing back in during this period. No data is permanently deleted yet.

After 30 days: PII permanently deletedYour name, email, password, profile photo, and all personally identifiable information are permanently erased from our systems.

Content anonymizedAny videos or comments you posted are attributed to "Deleted User." No personal information remains linked to that content.

ConfirmationIf you submitted a deletion request by email, we will send a confirmation to your registered email address once the deletion is complete.
