BrevityU gives you full control over your content and personal data. You can delete individual videos, individual comments, or request deletion of all your personal data at any time — without needing to delete your account. This page explains every available method.

🎥 How to Delete a Video

You can permanently delete any video you have uploaded directly from the BrevityU app. Only the owner of a video can delete it.

  1. Open the BrevityU app and go to your profile
    Tap the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar to open your profile page.
  2. Tap the video you want to delete
    Tap any video in your profile grid to open it in the video player.
  3. Tap the three-dot options menu ( ⋯ )
    While the video is playing, tap the three-dot menu icon on the right side of the screen. This menu is only visible to the video owner.
  4. Select “Delete Video”
    Tap Delete Video from the options menu.
  5. Confirm deletion
    A confirmation dialog will appear: "This will permanently delete your video. This action cannot be undone." Tap Delete to confirm.

This action is permanent Deleted videos are immediately removed from Cloudinary media storage and the BrevityU database. This cannot be undone. Download your video before deleting if you want to keep a copy.

What is deleted: The video file, thumbnail, and all associated metadata (title, description, tags, view counts, like counts).
What is kept: Your account and all other content remain unaffected.

💬 How to Delete a Comment

You can delete any comment you have posted. Only the author of a comment can delete it. Deletion is permanent and immediate.

  1. Open a video and view its comments
    Tap the comment bubble icon on any video to open the comments panel.
  2. Find the comment you want to delete
    Scroll to the comment you posted. Your own comments show a three-dot menu ( ⋮ ) on the right side.
  3. Tap the three-dot menu ( ⋮ ) on your comment
    Tap the vertical dots icon on the comment. A menu will appear with options to Edit or Delete your comment.
  4. Tap “Delete”
    Tap Delete from the options menu.
  5. Confirm deletion
    A confirmation dialog will appear: "Are you sure you want to delete this comment?" Tap Delete to confirm permanently.

Only your own comments The three-dot menu with a Delete option only appears on comments you authored. Comments from other users show a Report option instead.

What is deleted: The comment text, like count, and all replies to that comment are permanently removed.
What is kept: Your account and all other content remain unaffected.

🗃️ Delete All Personal Data

You have the right to request deletion of all personal data BrevityU holds about you under GDPR Article 17 and CCPA §1798.105. You can do this directly in the app or by emailing us.

✉️ Cannot Access the App? Request Data Deletion by Email

If you are unable to sign in to use the in-app deletion tools, you can submit a data deletion request by email. Brevity Networks LLC will process your request within 30 days in accordance with GDPR and CCPA requirements.
